Results from the CAT 4 race at the Jefferson Cup.  This race was combined
with the CAT 3s

The CAT 3/4 race was a scrappy affair.  A lot of bumping throughout the
race.  No really serious attacks and a slow pace, which meant the entire
field stayed together and was up for a good sprint at the end.  Too many
riders and not enough road resulted in a pretty big pile up within sight of
the line.  Derron and Brick were just ahead of the RTA so were not
affected.  I was right beside one of the guys that went down and as he went
into his combined rider and bike break dancing routine he side-swiped my
rear wheel and buckled it.  Fortunately I had the momentum to stay upright
but my sprint was reduced to a crawl.

Poor Mitch was not so lucky and ended up being pitched over his bars as he
hit the pile up.  There are rumours that it was a stylish dismount with a
double front somersault with half twist to follow, but these are only
rumours.
